nowadays
It is presented as a social criticism with a glimmer of hope to the misrepresented concept of values with which we stumbled every day.
The triptych starts with the exalted figure of the human being. Whole, majestic, full of ideals, dreams, courage and principles. Occupying almost all the work.
Shyly, almost melting into the background, for wheatpaste street art, a crane appears as a metaphor of the tangible goods, which in this first chapter are nothing but merely anecdotal, dispensable and that we can ignore with relatively easily.
In Chapter II, the circumstances, the environment, appearances begin to make a dent in the individual; beginning its gradual metamorphosis ... leaving less clear his human side. The cranes begin to multiply and take a more prominent position; material things begin to gain ground to the feelings; and the "what would they say?" progresses and crush to the idealist.
And finally, in chapter III, one day we forget what we were, the humanized silhouette has given way to a shadow that resembles the figure of a raptor. Cranes emerge claiming the importance we attach to the material achievements, only what can be seen and admired guide the lost steps of whom have forgotten his personality, in favor of the admiration for what others have, and not so we are.
Definitively, the human being has begun a path of steady loss of intangible values, while wastes his time in filling the pockets of his ego with material elements, in view of other to "demonstrate" their status, their importance and success achieved.
The triptych story develops through his characters, the man deteriorates until lose their anthropomorphic figure and replace it with something wild. The cranes are transcending and demanding their leadership. The reddish tones at the base remind us that our actions drag others and we can cause pain ...
But in my work always prevails search the positive side, for very severe and scathing that could be the critical; I played with a slight turn of the gray tones of background and lines, towards a subtle greenish hue ... people says that green is the color of hope, and hope is the last thing you lose .
Who knows? Perhaps we are still on time to be better people ...
