MusicInside

The work arises from the confrontation of diametrically opposed visceral feelings generated through the audition of musical pieces. The author has selected two songs: one of them causes euphoria, happiness and positivity; and conversely the other causes him a state of appeasement, sadness and calm.

The first plate is the result of an unbridled gestuality. Forgetting all composition and reasonableness, carried away only by the sound, under the influence received while the author is listening these pieces, a drypoint matrix is generated.

The pieces in this series are annexed by a second matrix, in this case is a woodcut that provides the meditated structure of a musical composition. Chance and improvisation are replaced by a deliberate, thoughtful and mature drawing line; worked previously and accordingly of the digitally distortion made from the word "music".

The result generates two pieces through which the viewer is asked that involves himself in the game to find out which mood of the author corresponds with each work. Because when extreme feelings come into play, the results are difficult to discern.
