Lost gears
Lost gears captures the effects of the current situation caused by the crisis, a desolated and barren landscape of what once was a thriving business and now is just a forced photogenia. Over this image of destruction, some carved gears in a woodcut are struggling not to stop and progress, despite difficulties.
This work (like “Creando paisajes cercanos” (Creating close landscapes from everyday objects), is based on obsolete objects that either no longer function or have been destroyed, reflecting the attitude of not giving anything up for lost and making beauty even from objects that seem to have lost their former function. In short, they talk about never giving up.
